Somewhere along the line, my writing has gone *way* downhill. I'm reviewing the design document that I've spent the past several days writing, and it is *staggeringly* dull: not merely "It's a technical design document" dull, but "Kill me now, so I don't have to try to stay awake" dull.

I've clearly managed to develop a horrible case of Passive Voice Syndrome, which only makes my usual pedantry even more excruciating. Need to do something about that...
